Gentle Exercise

The amount we move, the types of food we eat, physical stress, and our moods and emotions all interact to help or hinder our metabolism, producing our health and sense of well being. Movement, in the form of gentle exercise, is essential to good health.

Exercise does not have to be vigorous and/or difficult. Ideally, exercise should be part of each day — an activity that brings enjoyment and helps relaxation.

Some types of exercise recommended in the Living It Up program include: walking, flexibility training, swimming, water aerobics, calisthenics, music aerobics, step aerobics, parcourse, basketball, and hiking.
